Key Information

Test Duration

Total time: 2 hours and 45 minutes. The Listening, Reading, and Writing tests are completed in one sitting. The Speaking test may be on the same day or up to 7 days before or after the other tests.

Test Availability

IELTS tests are available up to 48 times a year at authorized test centers worldwide. You can choose from paper-based or computer-delivered formats depending on your preference and test center availability.

Score Validity

IELTS test results are valid for 2 years from the test date. Most organizations require recent scores, so plan your test date accordingly based on your application deadlines.
